Thanks for coming out && New design mockups!

Hey everybody!

Thanks for coming out to meeting #3, it was lots of fun. I hope you all enjoyed it. In any case, I’ve added the slides for meeting #2 and #3 to the Resources tab and I’ve provided higher resolution images of the mockups (awesomely done by David Schnurr!) below:

    I think each one could use something inviting on it. Idk what, but currently they seem a wee bit impersonal.

    I’d say I like the dark one the most, but there definitely needs to be blue in it some how… maybe just in a nice gaucho ACM logo could do it. I’m a huge fan of simplicity and even a small amount of blue in the right place could do the trick!

    I like the first one (white & blue) the most. Blue is a good choice since it coincides with UCSB’s colors and the ACM logo. The logo is kinda small in the second one — it doesn’t really brand the site very well to people who are just visiting. The navigation bar might be a little confusing in the dark one, and the bar uses a lot of screen space that might have a better purpose in the future.

    I also agree with Josh too to some extent. Perhaps adding some simple graphic art to the top banner would help.
